The epidemiology and typical presentation of patients with Myasthenia Gravis will be discussed. The basic synaptic transmission to the neuromuscular junction will be explained so as to understand the pathophysiology of AChR Antibody Myasthenia Gravis can be understood. Furthermore the description of the MuSK complex will be provided along with an explanation of how targeted antibodies lead to MG. Treatment options for anti-AChR MG and anti-MuSK MG will be compared.
