Activity Description:

This activity fosters a multidisciplinary team approach to care through peer-to-peer discussion and collaboration. By reviewing radiological and pathological findings, immunohistochemical testing, and other diagnostic information, the team works together to enhance diagnosis and treatment across the continuum of GI cancer care. These discussions support the use of best practices, advanced treatment methodologies, and coordinated care strategies to improve patient-centered outcomes.

Target Audience:

The intended audience are Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, GI Cancer Surgeons, General Surgeons, Pathologists, Radiologists, Nurses, Patient Care Facilitators and all personnel involved in the care of the breast cancer patient.

Learning Objective:

  • Identify best practices across relevant disciplines to support evidence-based management of GI conditions.
  • Apply advanced treatment methodologies to improve decision making in complex gastrointestinal oncology cases.
  • Integrate multidisciplinary collaboration strategies into patient care to develop effective treatment plans that support improved clinical outcomes.
