Activity Description:

This is a Complex Cardiovascular Case Conference. It is intended to provide a learning/discussion platform for providers to know how to formulate appropriate clinical management plans using standardized, current best practices guidelines and research, and through collaboration with peers. Interaction between multidisciplinary members with the cardiac team will allow providers to create a treatment approach and improve cardiac patient outcomes. Sharing knowledge from providers will assist in an increase in competency of all members.

Target Audience:

Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Intensivists, Hospitalists, Anesthesiologists, Radiologists and Mid-Level Providers that can identify the signs, symptoms and complications of a cardiac diagnosis.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Discuss multidisciplinary approaches to complex cardiovascular patient cases. 
  • Formulate appropriate clinical and/or surgical management plans. 
  • Discuss evidence based practice alternatives based on current research and standards of practice.
