Activity Description:

Monthly meetings with stakeholders and neurology team members to assess and discuss the comprehensive stroke program. This will include a peer review amongst providers of recent cases, both with and without mortality, with any opportunities for learning and improvement. Metrics and current status of the program and any quality improvement plans will also be discussed.

Target Audience: 

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest Physicians, Advance Practice Professionals, Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians Assistants.

Learning Objectives:

  • Differentiate between ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
  • Identify warning signs and major risk factors
  • Administer appropriate treatment and care
