Activity Description:

This session is designed to provide general primary care providers, pediatricians, emergency medicine providers and first responders with comprehensive information on how to identify potential victims and at-risk individuals.  The session will also explore the importance of applying multi-sector collaboration for these situations.

Target Audience:

This course is designed for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, registered nurses, allied health professionals, physicians and residents.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

1. Define human trafficking, both labor and sex, and verbalize vulnerabilities in various populations.
2. Identify potential victims or high risk individuals through red flags or other indicators via case studies.
3. Recognize the importance of applying a trauma-informed approach and multi-sector collaboration
