Activity Description:

The Quarterly Trauma EMS Grand Rounds CME activity presents case reviews led by trauma physicians with feedback to EMS agencies. Cases highlight strategies for improving EMS scene times and demonstrate the benefits of MARCHES protocol in trauma care. The activity emphasizes collaboration between EMS agencies and hospital personnel to facilitate communication and feedback. The goal is to reinforce evidence-based practices, improve trauma system performance, and optimize patient outcomes.

Target Audience: 

EMS agencies, emergency medicine, general surgery

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the clinical and system-level benefits of reducing EMS scene times in trauma care
  • Apply the MARCHES protocol in trauma case scenarios to support timely and effective patient assessment and management
  • Integrate feedback from trauma physicians during case reviews to identify opportunities for improving patient care and EMS-hospital collaboration
