Activity Description:

Address standards of care issues and educate physicians on best practices. Facilitate inter-professional collaboration, discussion, and evidence-based case review related to clinical indications for surgery, treatment plans, and interventions for patients with colon & rectal conditions and diseases with acute and chronic treatments. Provide updates in technology and evidence-based medicine and review past cases for improvements in patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Describe new techniques and strategies in Colorectal surgery.
• Examine and critique information presented on both recognized and innovative management practices for colorectal patients.
• Discuss the management and care of anorectal and operative decision-making skills for diagnosis and treatment.
• Recognize current guidelines to provide optimal care for colorectal patients.
