Activity Description:
This educational activity will provide healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the latest advancements in robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery. Participants will explore the complex relationship between the spine and pelvis and how robotic technology can improve surgical precision, reduce complications, and minimize the need for revisional surgeries. Additionally, the session will examine the differences in survivorship between robotic and manual partial knee replacement procedures, providing critical insights into patient outcomes. A thorough comparison of robotic versus conventional data for total knee arthroplasty will highlight the potential benefits and limitations of these technologies. Ultimately, the session aims to equip clinicians with the knowledge to make informed decisions regarding the integration of robotic systems in joint replacement surgery.
Target Audience:
This course is designed for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, registered nurses, allied health professionals, physicians and residents.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize the complex interplay between the spine and pelvis and how robotics can help decrease the rate of complications and return to OR.
- Differentiate survivorship in robotic vs manual partial knee replacement.
- Summarize Robotic vs Conventional Data for TKA.
