Yousuf Ahmed, MD

Dr. Yousuf Ahmed is a dedicated pediatrician with over three decades of clinical and academic experience with a special interest in pediatric obesity and diabetes. He graduated from medical school in 1991 from DOW Medical Univeristy and completed his pediatric residency at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx, NY. He further specialized with two years of fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at Maimonides Medical University. Throughout his career, Dr. Ahmed has trained and worked alongside esteemed physicians including Dr. Mary Ann Banerji, Dr. Theodore AvRuskin, and Dr. Henry Anhalt. He returned to Pakistan for five years serving as an Assistant Professor in the department of family medicine at Zia Uddin University in Karachi. Alongside teaching fellows, his responsibilities included clinical rotation coordinator and didactic instructor for medical students. In 2007, Dr. Ahmed returned to the United States and established a pediatric private practice in Conroe, TX. where he continued to serve the local community. Dr. Ahmed is a strong advocate of pediatric health equity. He is passionately commited to advancing universal healthcare access and educational opportunities for all children.
