Michael Tees, Md, MPH
Michael Tees, MD, MPH, is an Associate Member at Colorado Blood Cancer Institute (CBCI) and a leader in CBCI’s Lymphoma and Autoimmune Programs. He attended medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, simultaneously obtaining a Master in Public Health degree in Epidemiology. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at New York University followed by a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, FL, where he focused on lymphoma stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy.
In addition to advancing the Lymphoma Program at CBCI, he is the Quality Medical Director. Nationally, Dr. Tees serves on the American Society of Hematology Communications and Quality Committees. He is also on the Sarah Cannon Research Institute Lymphoma Executive Council. Locally, he has been honored by his colleagues by being voted as a “Top Doc” in 5280 magazine. In his spare time, he advocates for patients for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Mountain Region.
Dr. Tees focuses on the treatment and management of aggressive lymphocytic disorders and malignancies, and he is the principal investigator for multiple clinical trials at CBCI. In addition to stem cell transplantation, he treats patients with standard approach CAR T cell therapy as well as CAR-based therapies on clinical trials. He favors the next phase of lymphoma care being rooted in an individualized and targeted approach, and is excited about the rapid pace of development in the field.
