Robotic Total Joint Replacement

Total knee arthroplasty is one of the most common procedures performed in the United States today. The evolution to modern (conventional) knee replacement procedures has made knee replacement surgery one of the safest and cost-effective procedures performed in orthopaedics. This educational activity will provide learners a brief history of knee replacement procedures, with an in-depth look at Robotic Total Knee Arthroplasty, Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty (UKA), and Robotic Total Hip surgery. Participants will learn about the subtypes of aforementioned procedures, risks and benefits for patients, and compare patient outcomes for modern manual and robotic knee and hip procedures.
