Evaluation and Management of Pediatric Patients with Acute Concussion

This activity will provide guidelines for the evaluation, diagnosis and management of the pediatric patient with concussion, including the latest developments. Therapeutic strategies for managing concussions with prolonged symptoms will be reviewed, including vestibular and aerobic rehabilitation, as well as vision therapy.

  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of concussion
  • Describe updates in evaluation and management of concussion based on the most current evidence
  • Illustrate a management plan for children and teens presenting with prolonged symptoms after concussion.
