Isaac C. Talbert, MD, is an orthopedic surgery resident at the University of Kansas School of Medicine–Wichita. He earned a BS in Biology/Pre-Medicine from Kansas State University and an MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, followed by a general surgery internship at the University of California, Davis / David Grant USAF Medical Center. A prior Air Force flight surgeon with the 61st Airlift Squadron, he completed two combat deployments and managed a large flight medicine clinic. His research centers on quality improvement and occupational safety, including open-fracture antibiotic protocols and noise exposure during Mako robot-assisted arthroplasty, and is complemented by military awards, research honors, and residency leadership roles.
