Sharon joined the Women’s Services education team at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital - Forest in 2024 where she had spent the previous year as the Women’s Hospital Clinical Support Resource Nurse. She has 11 years of experience working in labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and nursery.  Prior to moving to Virginia in 2023, She worked at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ as the OB Outreach Coordinator for their High-Risk Pregnancy Program. In this role she was able to expand her love of Women’s Services to education and teaching. She is an AWHONN Fetal Monitor Instructor Trainer, an AWHONN Obstetric Patient Safety designated instructor and an NRP Instructor Mentor. She is certified in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing and Electric Fetal Monitoring and received her BSN from Arkansas Tech University. She has eight kids, 6 ½ grandkids, and has been married to her best friend for the last 35 years. In her free time, she likes to read, sit on the beach and read, and hang out and play games with her family.
