Rochelle spent ten years in fire EMS; starting as a volunteer with New Kent Fire Rescue Company 1 at Providence Forge, then working for Hanover Fire EMS for 9 years. She began teaching EMS and fire courses in 2007 and worked with the VCCS and VCU CTCCE for several years teaching initial certification, re-certification, and merit badge courses. She left her position as Master Firefighter / Medic & Training Officer in December of 2015 to attend graduate school at Mary Baldwin University for Physician Assistant Studies.
