Alicia Allen started her career as a registered dietitian working at St. Mark’s Hospital. She quickly became a leader over the inpatient dietitian services supporting both the clinical dietitians and food service department. Identifying a gap in care, Alicia starting a private practice supporting bariatric surgery patients and helping them meet criteria for surgery. This role with provided her the opportunity to then become the coordinator and ultimately the director over the bariatric accreditation program as well as other service lines including pulmonary and interventional cardiology. She spent 15+ years developing the bariatric program, creating a comprehensive, multidisciplinary clinic at the Weight Treatment Center, and expanded the access to multiple locations. Alicia has jointed the surgical team at Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians to continue to help individuals navigate their weight loss journey. She is always looking for ways to enhance the patient experience, improve the pathway to surgery, and increase access to comprehensive metabolic and bariatric services.
