Amy Carter, RN CIC

Amy graduated from Weber State University in 2003 as a Registered Nurse, starting her nursing career as an LPN in 2002. She has explored working medical/surgical acute care, outpatient pediatrics, urgent care, and youth corrections before landing as a public health nurse with Weber-Morgan Health Department. Coming up on 20 years with public health this summer, she has been involved in TB Program Management, Communicable Disease and Epidemiology and Supervisory roles on top of working all clinical services such as immunizations, STI/HIV, cancer screening and more. The CIC listed in her credentials is for being Certified in Infection Prevention and Control through the CBIC.
"I like the ability public health provides me to be able to spend a little extra time educating individual clients and communities about ways they can make daily changes towards living healthier lives." When Amy isn't busy at work, she lives in South Ogden with her husband and three dogs which she lovingly refers to as "the monsters".
