Scott Roof, MD, MS

Dr. Scott A. Roof is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He currently serves as the Director of Clinical Research within the department, where he leads initiatives aimed at advancing therapeutic strategies for head and neck cancers. His personal research interests include circulating tumor DNA in the management of head and neck cancer, understanding the role of immunotherapy in modifying the tumor-immune microenvironment and mechanisms of immunotherapy resistance, and functional outcomes after head and neck reconstruction. Dr. Roof completed his residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, followed by a fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
