Dr. John Ratliff is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon by American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is in private practice in Charleston, South Carolina at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, where he provides comprehensive surgical care with a focus on excellence, compassion, and innovation.

Dr. Ratliff earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, and went on to complete his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Mississippi.

Dedicated to advancing his field, Dr. Ratliff remains active in continuing education and professional development, with clinical interests that include dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant reconstruction, benign pathology of the maxillomandibular complex, and orthognathic and facial trauma surgery. He is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients and contributing to the education and mentorship of future oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
