John Turner, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Dermatopathology
After completing medical school at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002, he completed Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residencies (2006) and Dermatopathology Fellowship (2007).
He joined Commonwealth laboratory Consultants in Richmond VA, and while practicing, served as Virginia Society for Pathology President. He joined HCA Pathology Services eventually as Capital Division medical director overseeing pathology services for the Capital Division, and during that time, earned his MBA at VCU. He signed out the first primary digital pathology diagnosis in the history of HCA Pathology services.
He transferred to the same division role in South Atlantic Division in 2022 where he currently serves; during this time, he has created an internal CME program and has been active in additional digital pathology projects.
