Dr. Maricic completed his degree in Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires in 2002 and then his residency in Pediatric Surgery at Pedro de Elizalde Children's Hospital between 2002-2006. He worked as a Pediatric Surgeon at the Alejandro Posadas National Hospital for 15 years and simultaneously as Head of Newborn Surgery Section at Elizalde Children’s Hospital, in addition to his private activity at Anchorena San Martín Clinic.
Between 2010 and 2020 focused his training in advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) and Surgical Education Based on Simulation through a Fellow at Garrahan Children's Hospital. This project lead by Dr. Maria Marcela Bailez in CeSim Garrahan Simulation Center, Lead to the creation of a continuing educational project for residency and the inclusion of surgical simulation within the Pediatric Surgery Residency Program in the district of Buenos Aires, largest in Argentina for residents training. As well as the development of multiple continuing training courses and programs, as well as the creation of SIM Elizalde, a public simulation center with an integrated and collaborative program with CeSim Garrahan and others, destined to MIS surgical training.
