Irving Zamora, MD, MPH, FACS, FAAP
Dr. Irving J. Zamora, Assistant Professor of Pediatric Surgery at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, serves as the Director of Advanced Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery. He is the Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at Vanderbilt and is the Director of the Pediatric Surgery Clerkship, ACE and AI Programs. He practices the full breadth of pediatric surgery and has a strong research focus in surgical innovation, advanced minimally invasive surgery, and outcomes in children, as well as fetal and neonatal surgery. He is also passionate about surgical education. He is grant-funded by the Association for Surgical Education (ASE) focusing on developing metrics to assess and improve robotic surgical proficiency.
