Kristin E. Shipman, MD is a triple-board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric surgeon highly experienced in minimally invasive techniques (including robotic surgery) that reduce pain, shorten recovery times and minimize scarring. Born and raised in Kansas City, MO, Dr. Shipman earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.   She completed general surgery residency training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She then completed fellowships at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Surgical Critical Care and Children's Medical Center of Dallas in Pediatric Surgery. Working in a child-and-family-centered environment with equipment and facilities designed specifically for children, Dr Shipman has worked at Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital since 2008.  Highly trained and with more than a decade of experience, Dr. Shipman provides a full range of surgical care for infants, children, and teens.
