From Crisis to Care: The Hidden Drivers of Abuse and Health Outcomes
This session explores how the dynamics of power, control, and coercion intersect with social determinants of health to influence patient outcomes. Through case examples and expert insights, participants will examine how these factors manifest within healthcare environments and impact the delivery of equitable care. Hospital leaders will learn how to recognize these hidden drivers within their systems, support staff in responding effectively, and strengthen partnerships that promote safety, trust, and long-term recovery.
Target Audience
This course is intended for the Medical Staff of HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center.
