Meghan Weller, JD, Baylor University School of Law, 2004/Admitted to Texas State Bar 2005
Meghan is responsible for state government relations for the four Texas divisions of HCA, including more than 55 hospitals and representing more than 74,00 employees. In her role, she works to serve as a liaison and resource to HCA leadership, the Texas legislature, government agencies and industry-related and association partners.
Prior to joining HCA Healthcare in 2015, Meghan served as Deputy Budget Director for Texas Governor Greg Abbott. She has held a number of positions in the offices of Texas elected officials, serving as Chief of Staff for two state representatives, John E. Davis and John Zerwas, MD. During her time at the Texas Capitol, Meghan focused on state budget and healthcare policy. Meghan's work has included a position as the Director of Public Affairs for Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas, and through this she served for a time on the Texas Supreme Court Children's Commission Collaborative Council and the Texas Attorney General's Human Trafficking Prevention Task Force.
Meghan earned her BA in Spanish Literature and her BS in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin. She holds a JD from Baylor University School of Law.
Meghan serves on the Board of Directors for HOSPAC, the political action committee for the Texas Hospital Association. She is a member of National Charity League and a supporter of Austin Opera. She has two daughters, Larkin (14) and Emily (12).
