Vice President of Burn Services
Jane graduated from Augusta College, School of Nursing in 1988 and started her nursing career in burn care at the JMS Burn Center where she worked for 18 years in a variety of nursing roles before taking a job closer to home. During her 10 years away from burn care, Jane served as the Director of Nursing, and finally the CEO of Wills Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital in her hometown of Washington, GA. Jane returned to the burn center in 2015 and currently serves the Vice President of Burn Services at JMS Burn Center at Doctors Hospital Augusta. Jane is a strategic and mission‑driven healthcare leader known for elevating clinical quality, expanding access to specialized burn care, and championing multidisciplinary collaboration. With a career rooted in service, innovation, and operational excellence, Jane has guided the JMS burn program to achieve sustained improvements in patient outcomes, staff engagement, and system-level performance.
In her role as VP of Burn Services, Jane oversees the full continuum of burn care—from acute and critical care through rehabilitation. She takes pride in building strong clinical teams, implementing evidence‑based practices, and strengthening partnerships across departments, facilities, and regional networks. Jane continues to drive growth and innovation in burn services while advocating for the unique needs of burn survivors and the teams who serve them.
Jane is a member of the American Burn Association and serves as a board member for the Burn Foundation of America.
