Activity Description:
Modern healthcare leaders operate in a VUCA environment defined by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. This session introduces practical leadership tools drawn from Integral Theory, Critical Realism, Complex Thought, emotional intelligence, adaptive systems thinking, and polarity management to help physician leaders navigate chaos with clarity and resilience. Through real-world emergency medicine and hospital-based case studies, participants will explore how to identify hidden system dynamics, strengthen team coherence, improve communication under pressure, and transform crisis into adaptive growth. The course emphasizes practical application for emergency departments, hospital operations, EMS systems and physician leadership teams.
Target Audience:
This course is designed for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, registered nurses, allied health professionals, physicians and residents.
