Dr. Russell B. Smith, MD is a head and neck surgeon with extensive experience in ablative surgery for neoplastic disease of the head and neck.  He is currently Medical Director for Oncology HCA Florida Jacksonville campuses.  He is a major proponent of surgeon performed point of care ultrasound in head and neck surgery.  He has lectured international in the areas of thyroid and parathyroid surgery and has been course director and faculty for dozens of ultrasound courses.  He has several research manuscripts and other educational publications related to head and neck cancer.
