Jessica Gowing, MD is a fellowship-trained colon and rectal surgeon and board certified general surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Dr. Gowing's goal and passion is to provide her patients with top quality care while building a relationship of trust and comfort.
Dr. Gowing completed her colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Prior to that, Dr. Gowing completed general surgery residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She attended the University of Washington in Seattle for both medical school and her undergraduate education where she graduated with honors in neurobiology and bioethics as well as studying Japanese. Before returning to UW for medical school, she worked at a global health research institute in Seattle, focusing on research, education, and training. Additionally, she lived in Japan for a year to immerse herself in Japanese culture, practice the language, and teach English to children.
