Two - Part Registration Process

The Joseph M Still Burn Symposium features focused presentations on current interventions and standards of care in the treatment of burns and complex skin and soft tissue disorders. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practices designed to close knowledge gaps and enhance patient outcomes. The presentations address the field of burn and complex wound care from the transfer process to acute treatment and rehabilitative phases in the adult and pediatric populations. This symposium is intended for multidisciplinary healthcare teams involved in the comprehensive care of burn and complex skin disorders.

Target Audience

Physicians, Nurses, Advanced practice nurses, Pharmacists, Allied health professionals, Residents/medical students, Prehospital providers (EMS)

Learning Objectives

  • Implement evidenced-based pathways or protocols for care of the burn or complex wound patient
  • Identify the need to utilize communication with patient and care team to improve overall patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Apply current standards of care for treatment of the burn and complex wound patient
