Dr. Cavazos earned her medical degree from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  She completed residency as well as a Cancer Rehabilitation Fellowship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.  She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Brain Injury Medicine.  She is the Medical Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation at Regional West Medical Center, which has earned its CARF Stroke Certification.  She is currently the Medical Director of the Stroke Program.
