Dr. Byrd completed his medical school and residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by fellowships in Advanced Head and Neck Oncology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He joined the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in 2014 and is currently Associate Professor and Chief of the Head and Neck Surgery Division. He serves as Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs for Otolaryngology and has a joint appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery.
