Shannon is the Substance Use Disorder and Substance Exposed Newborn Specialist within Colorado's Department of Human Services Division of Child Welfare. She holds a Masters in Family and Child Health and brings over 10 years of experience leading multi-system projects to improve outcomes for children youth and families. Shannon is currently a co-chair for SuPPoRT Colorado’s statewide Plans of Safe Care Workgroup and leads the Child Welfare SubPAC’s Substance Use Workgroup and Substance Use Training Workgroup.
