Jennifer Harned Adams, PhD (Clinical Psychologist)
Dr. Jennifer Harned Adams is a clinical health psychologist with a specialty in women’s reproductive health. She earned her PhD from the University of Houston and completed residency at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. From 2006-2008, she was a member of the faculty at the University of CO-Denver doctorate program in clinical health psychology. Jen then returned to clinical work in private practice and at the Kempe Center Mother-Infant Therapy Program (now “Healthy Expectations” at the Children’s Hospital of CO). In 2014, she joined the Center for Maternal Fetal Health at Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, where she works with parents experiencing high-risk pregnancies and families in the NICU. She uses her expertise from across the reproductive health continuum—fertility, pregnancy and postpartum—to provide knowledgeable and compassionate support to families coping with complex prenatal diagnosis, complicated pregnancies, healthcare decision making, life in the NICU and preparing for life at home. She collaborates with the medical team to care for the whole family. As families prepare to transition home, she works with families to help them identify and connect with support in their local communities. In addition to her work at PSL/RMHC, Jen serves on the board of the CO Chapter of Postpartum Support International and is a member of the Colorado State Maternal Mortality Review Committee.
