Daniel Lerman, MD
Daniel Lerman, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the care of patients with benign and malignant tumors of the bone and soft tissue. His clinical expertise includes limb-sparing surgery, sarcoma surgery, and the treatment of complex musculoskeletal conditions, such as pathologic fractures, amputee care, and complex total joint reconstructions.
Dr. Lerman earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and then a fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology at the University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles, reviews articles and book chapters on the topics of sarcoma therapy and metastatic bone disease. He continues to present his research at national and international conferences.
Dr. Lerman is engaged in multiple national research projects and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Musculoskeletal Tumor Society and Connective Tissue Oncology Society. He reviews scientific articles for Journal of Surgical Oncology and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Lerman serves as the Director of Sarcoma for the Institute of Limb Preservation, the Managing Partner of the Colorado Limb Consultants, and volunteers his time as a member of the Board of Directors Executive Committee for the Limb Preservation Foundation.
