Activity Description:

The multidisciplinary approach, including the medical, surgical and radiation areas of cancer therapy, providing a forum for the comprehensive care of complex cases in the management of thoracic cancer patients.

Target Audience:

Hematology/Oncology, Surgery, Radiology, Radiology/Oncology, & Pathology physicians particularly those involved in the treatment of thoracic cancer.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  1. Follow established guidelines for diagnosis of thoracic cancer patients
  2. Incorporate multidisciplinary aspects in the care of thoracic cancer patients
  3. Offer available clinical research protocols to thoracic cancer patients
  4. Critically review and analyze cases of complex oncological issues in patients.
  5. Apply the recommendations in the management of patients with complex issues taking into account when appropriate patient's age, gender, or ethnicity, and performance status.
