Dr. Jennifer Rehbein is a board-certified general surgeon practicing at MountainStar General Surgery, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Rehbein graduated from Elmhurst University with her degree in exercise science and minors in biology and chemistry, before continuing on for her medical degree at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She then completed her General Surgery residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois.

Dr. Rehbein pursued surgery after being inspired by empathetic surgical mentors in medical school who truly cared for their whole patient. She appreciates the precision, skill and challenge that the specialty of surgery offers and the pursuit of excellence.

Surgical care has evolved, with advancements in care and minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Rehbein greatly enjoys educating and discussing these options with each patient, empowering them to make informed healthcare decisions. Similar to her surgical mentors, she too strives to treat the whole patient and provide each patient with individualized care as each patient's needs are unique.

In her free time, Dr. Rehbein enjoys hiking, running, cooking, knitting, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their dog.
