Mark Magner, MD, FAANS
Mark Magner, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon practicing at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO. Specializing in spinal neurosurgery, Dr. Magner is particularly adept at micro-neurosurgery, utilizing the operative microscope in his surgeries whenever feasible to improve patient outcomes and to limit patients' operative exposure and morbidity. He treats all spinal diseases including degenerative discs causing neck or back pain, fractures, deformities, and spinal tumors.
Dr. Magner earned his BA with cum laude and University Honors with Distinction from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati as a Neuroscience Pathway Scholar. Dr. Magner furthered his training with both a neurosurgery residency and neurocritical care enfolded fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.
He has given multiple lectures on neurosurgery including at the Association of Surgical Assistants National Meeting and most recently as faculty at the HealthOne Winter Spine Clinic.
Dr. Magner is married to Kristin Magner, MD, a board-certified OB/GYN who he met in medical school. They have three small children and chose Denver for the family-friendly, outdoorsy lifestyle found in Colorado.
