Ira Chang, MD
<p style="margin-bottom:11px; text-indent:.5in"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Dr. Ira Chang is the Director of Neurocritical Care at Swedish Medical Center, in Denver Colorado where she moved after finishing a neurology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She founded one of the first dedicated inpatient neurology practices in the country in 2005 and has written a book chapter in the Neurohospitalist text book on the “Structure and Organization of Neurohospitalist Practices”. She also is a senior partner in Blue Sky Telehealth which focuses on acute stroke and teleneurohospitalist services, numbering over 300 hospitals nationally. </span></span></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:11px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"> Dr. Chang is also Board Certified in Neurocritical Care and established the 18 bed Neuro ICU at Swedish Medical Center, a comprehensive stroke and level I trauma center in Denver Colorado. She has served on the MEC for 17 years ending her term as President of the HealthOne Division President’s Council, which includes 5 other hospitals in Denver, and is now Chair of the Neuroscience Governance Council, who coordinates strategic growth efforts across these same hospitals. </span></span></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:11px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"> Dr. Chang is soon to be an empty nester with her youngest of 2 children leaving for college soon. She enjoys competing on a local tennis team, as well as skiing and travelling. </span></span></span></p>
