Ziad Haidar, Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist
Dr Haidar is a maternal fetal medicine specialist at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. He is also the medical director of the high-risk transport system.
Dr. Haidar earned his medical degree from the Lebanese University School of Medicine in Beirut. He achieved his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at West Virginia University, Charleston division, where he served as a chief resident and received several academic awards. He completed his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas. He also served as a chief fellow and received an award for his “exceptional performance and high productivity”. He is also the author or co-author of several manuscripts.
Dr Haidar is American Board certified, a member of several societies and was recently elected as the president of the American Lebanese Medical Association, Houston Chapter. He earned several community awards in recognition of his “meritorious performance”, “quality of work”, and his “compassionate and caring personality”. He was chosen as one of America’s Top Maternal-Fetal Medicine Subspecialists.
Dr. Haidar has a special interest in managing and delivering multiple gestation pregnancies including quadruplets, quintuplets and a set of sextuplets. Besides his clinical interests, he enjoys his academic role as an associate clinical professor at The University of Houston.
