Activity Description:

The purpose of this activity is to collaborate with local EMS agencies and hospital nursing staff on educational topics. Educational topics will be determined based on process improvement analysis of identified gaps. Collaboration between EMS and nursing staff will improve relationship and increase knowledge of hospital services.

EMS personnel, Nursing staff

Learning Objectives:

• Review contributing causes of diagnostic and management errors and propose strategies for improving patient safety.
• Discuss recommendations for system changes that improve patient care.
• Enhance teamwork and communication skills by participating in case discussions and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
