Activity Description:

This educational series will focus on reviewing best practices for birthing hospitals providing care for perinatal patients affected by substance use disorders. Discussions regarding key topics including combating stigma, implementation of SUD/OUD treatment, integration of peer support services, and building strong referral networks to ensure continuation of care.

Target Audience: 

Colorado birthing hospitals participating in CPCQC Perinatal SUD QI programming - doctors, midwives, advances practice providers, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, case managers, directors, managers, quality improvement, data

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify the leading causes of maternal mortality in Colorado.

2. Utilization of evidence-based interventions to manage perinatal SUD/OUD.

3. Demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based interventions to reduce maternal overdose.
