With compounding pressures such as large variations in patient volume, demand and complexity, staffing burn-out and shortages, organizations demand real-time knowledge and forecasting capabilities to match the right skills to their patients’ needs and risk profiles. The goal of this presentation is to provide insight into the tools and technologies that are available to help ensure that the right people, right roles are in the right place at the right time and shed light on how artificial intelligence may be utilized to assist the timeliness, accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of provider documentation.

Target Audience

All provider on the medical staff at Clear Lake Hospital.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe workforce competency and the use of technology for proactive capacity management.
  • Explain how optimization of staff scheduling and capacity management can be transformed through the use of innovative tools and technologies which predict future demand to match the needs of a healthcare organization, ensuring the right people, right roles are in the right place at the right time. 
  • Identify how artificial intelligence has the potential to assist the timeliness, accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of provider documentation.
