Coastal Bend Neurosciences Symposium 2026

The Coastal Bend Neuroscience Symposium brings together healthcare professionals from across the region for a day of education. Expert physicians will present current practices and emerging topics in neurological care, with an emphasis on improving patient outcomes across the continuum of care. The symposium is designed for healthcare professionals and first responders involved in caring for patients with neurological conditions.
Target Audience
The intended audience is Physicians, Nursing, Paramedics and EMT's.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Improve the early recognition, assessment, and management of acute stroke, including large- and medium-vessel occlusions and carotid artery stenosis.
- Apply evidence-based practices to evaluate and manage cerebrovascular conditions, including ruptured and unruptured aneurysms, moyamoya disease, vascular malformations, arteriovenous fistulas, and idiopathic intracranial hypertension.
- Strengthen interdisciplinary communication and care coordination across prehospital, emergency, neurological, and neurosurgical settings to reduce variations in care and improve patient outcomes.
