Sky Ridge Medical Center EMS Skills Rodeo 2023

This conference is designed to provide EMS personnel and paramedics with the latest knowledge and skills in a variety of emergency medical topics. The conference will feature lectures, case studies, and hands-on skills training from leading experts in the field. This skills workshop will offer case review stations that will discuss, review and identify Pre-Hospital Mid-Shaft Femur Fractures, Recognition and Treatment of Stroke and Sepsis Patients, Review of Cardiovascular Signs and Symptoms, and Obstetrics Assessment; Evaluation and Care of OB Patients Suffering from Domestic Violence. Each station will be 20 minutes long.

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of EMS providers.

  1. Apply evidence-based practices to the assessment and management of common and critical medical emergencies.
  2. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals in a variety of settings.
  3. Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills in the provision of emergency medical care.
