Activity Description:
Stroke council is a multi disciplinary team that meets monthly to discuss all aspects of the stroke program at the Medical Center of Aurora. Participants discuss protocols and polices and make changes based on evidence based practice to optimize care for patients. Learners will review current research and practice guidelines to guide care. Specific patient cases are reviewed on a monthly basis with the use of radiologic imaging to demonstrate disease pathology. Learning objectives are centered around the specific pathologies discovered on these individual patients.

This multidisciplinary meeting is designed for physicians, radiologists, radiology techs, nurses, and therapists
Learning Objectives:
- Identify areas for practice improvement based on program performance. Evaluation of processes in place, and make changes based on results for best patient care.
- Summarize updated research guidelines, new research, other potential practice changes. Evaluate research and practice guidelines for potential changes in practice.
- Apply knowledge through case studies. Expand knowledge of neurologic conditions based on presenting symptoms, test results, and radiologic imaging.
