Activity Description:

The interaction between this multidisciplinary Cancer Conference team will allow physicians to create a treatment approach and improve the patient outcome. The team will meet the requirements of the Commission on Cancer in order to obtain and retain accreditation. The discussion of patient management is needed for providers to learn about new treatment modalities and help improve treatment options for patients.

Learning Objectives:

• Follow established guidelines for diagnosis of thoracic cancer patients.
• Incorporate multidisciplinary aspects in the care of thoracic cancer patients.
• Offer available clinical research protocols to thoracic cancer patients.
• Critically review and analyze cases of complex oncological issues in patients.
• Apply the recommendations in the management of patients with complex issues taking into account when appropriate patient's age, gender, or ethnicity, and performance status.
