Activity Description:

This course is designed to provide general primary care providers, pediatricians and general surgeons with comprehensive information about syncope and dysautonomia.  Including the types of these conditions, treatment strategies and when to suspect cardiac etiology.

Target Audience:

This course is designed for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, registered nurses, allied health professionals, physicians and residents.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

1. Develop an understanding of the types of syncope and when to suspect a cardiac etiology.
2. Discuss the trends, diagnosis, and subtypes of dysautonomia.
3. Review current treatment strategies for syncope and dysautonomia.
