Activity Description:

This interactive series focuses on promoting excellence in pediatric healthcare through simulation experiences in a structured, safe learning environment. Through hands on simulation education learners are able to acquire the knowledge of proper management for sick Neonatal/Pediatric patients by practicing routes of stabilization and improve outcomes of the patient in extremis. Comprehending the differences in care of the sick neonate/pediatric patient is vital to equipping providers to best address the needs of this patient population.

 

Target Audience:

EMS Providers, Physicians, Advance Practice Providers, RN's, Respiratory Therapy, Techs/CNA's

Learning Objectives:

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • The ability to administer emergency medications to Neonatal/Pediatric patients.
  • Create assessment of a pediatric patient, including basic triaging built on educational presentation.
  • Identify positives and opportunities for improvement through pediatric code simulations.
