Alison Mallard, PhD, PCC is Founder and President of HRCatalyst, Inc., a consulting firm that aligns talent with organizational strategy through selection, performance measurement, and leadership/team development. Alison has over 20 years of experience in assessment, consulting, coaching, and organizational research. She works within a variety of industries and has on-site consulting experience in the UK, Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
Alison helps leaders perform at their best through executive assessment, coaching, and team development. She applies techniques grounded in research, including proven strategies for greater self-awareness and lasting behavioral change. She stays informed of emerging leadership requirements and applies this to her consulting and coaching. Alison regularly measures the impact of her work (e.g., organizational and coaching outcomes), and results consistently point to meaningful positive impact.
Alison works extensively with teams to reach their potential through team assessment, shared insight, and targeted development strategies. She often facilitates strategic discussions/meetings and regularly trains leaders in successfully navigating conflict.
She partners with clients on organization-wide programs such selection system design and delivery, competency modeling, leadership development programming, talent calibration, leader on-boarding, strategic planning, and organizational design. Special projects include career mapping, retention, and performance research.
Alison has taught several psychology, management, and measurement courses at University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and UGA’s Psychology department. She has published multiple articles in refereed journals and has presented at several national and international conferences. She is a returning guest lecturer for the Goizueta Business School of Emory University.
She is certified on several assessment tools including 16PF, Hogan Assessment Series, CPI, Birkman, DiSC, and MBTI. She has designed several 360 assessments, has led or partnered in dozens of selection/assessment validation studies, and is certified on multiple 360-feedback instruments. She is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
Alison is co-founder of I/O AT WORK (ioatwork.com), which provides reviews of recent I/O and HR-related research from top-tier journals. The award-winning site helps bridge the gap between cutting-edge science and practice. I/O AT WORK was selected by two premier I/O and HR research journals, Journal of Applied Psychology and Journal of Management, to exclusively preview and release in-press articles before they are available in print.
Alison is an NCAA All-American swimmer and has competed in a number of triathlons and half-marathons.
